Indian Creek High School was recently invited to serve as a featured speaker at the Student-Led Business Coalition kickoff hosted through Ascend Indiana, where the school was recognized as an exemplar for its innovative Work-Based Learning (WBL) programming.

During the conference, Indian Creek’s Creek Cattle Co. and Creek Design Lab were highlighted as model student-led programs that are helping prepare students for future careers through real-world experiences, leadership opportunities, and hands-on learning.

High school principal Luke Skoble shared the story behind the development of these ICHS programs, emphasizing the importance of strong community partnerships, creative scheduling, and a commitment to building meaningful opportunities for students from the ground up.

Several student success stories were also showcased throughout the presentation, particularly highlighting student growth in communication skills, programming knowledge, responsibility, and professionalism. The presentation demonstrated how Indian Creek students are gaining valuable experiences that extend far beyond the classroom.

The opportunity to share Indian Creek’s success on a statewide stage was a proud moment for The Creek and a reflection of the dedication of students, staff, community partners, and supporters who continue to help these programs thrive.
